Cost for standing against corruption

Rhetoric question ‘Corruption’ which never had an answer, if someone dares to raise voice will get the reply in terms of his life.

This what Ram Kumar Thakur got when he raised himself against the irregularities in the implementation of MNREGS in his native village Bihar’s Ratnauli. Till his last breath he worked to make his native town a corruption-free place to live in. is Indian could ever free from corruption? As a young Indian we were considered the bright future of the country and were given the responsibility to eradicate corruption from the country. But here the question is, are we ready to work for the country at the sake of our lives or of our family’s you never know. This all from Ram Kumar, lawyer by profession had to suffered from while working for the welfare of his place. Till his last breath he worked for the welfare which always led him into trouble in the form of threats, torture, false charges etc. And finally he got murdered when he approached court and demanded probe into MNEGS irregularities inspite of many warnings.

The matter doesn’t ended here his family even alleges the involvement of local police in this murder as on their way to the hospital, police took Ram Thakur took him to some other place in unnumbered vehicle and when the kin of the victim reached the hospital he was declared dead by the hospital mates.

The activists now demanded the compensation from the government. This is not the first case in Bihar. There were many Ram Kumar Thakur have died fighting for the society, just to eradicate the deadly communicable disesase whose venom is spreading all over.

Is this the cost an independent citizen of an independent country has to pay for raising voice against ill doings?
